How to use this

This is the timeline we follow on full-planning weddings. You can print it (Cmd-P / Ctrl-P) and check items off as you go, or hire us and let us run it. Most of the heavy lifting in months 12–6 is decision-making. Months 3–0 is execution.

12+ months out

Decide on a date range (we recommend May–October for outdoor weddings)
Set a guest count and a working budget
Hire your wedding planner (us, ideally)
Book the ceremony venue and reception venue
Reserve a room block at one or two hotels
Decide on a save-the-date format and send

9 months out

Photographer + videographer booked
File the Bermuda Notice of Intended Marriage (we handle this)
Order the wedding dress
Decide on the rough flow of the weekend (welcome event, ceremony, reception, farewell brunch)
Begin floral and design conversations

6 months out

Florist, caterer, band/DJ, officiant booked
Stationery design started
Hair and makeup booked
Wedding website live with travel info
Tasting and menu finalised
Bridal party attire ordered

3 months out

Send formal invitations
Final dress fittings
Marriage license picked up after the 14-day notice period
Rehearsal dinner venue and welcome event details locked
Hotel room block confirmation to all guests
Honeymoon booked

1 month out

Final headcount to caterer
Seating plan finalised
Wedding-week timeline shared with vendors
Welcome bag contents ordered and assembled
Final dress fitting and grooming
Pay vendor balances

1 week out

Confirm with all vendors
Pack: passports, marriage license, rings, vows, comfortable shoes
Send final guest itinerary
Final venue walkthrough with the planner
Rehearsal scheduled
