Common questions

Bermuda Wedding Planning FAQ

The questions we get asked most. Direct answers. No fluff.

How far in advance should we book?

Twelve to eighteen months out is the sweet spot. Bermuda's best venues, photographers, and bands book a year ahead, especially for May to October. We have planned weddings on six months notice and on three years notice. The earlier we start, the more options stay open.

Do you handle the marriage license for us?

Yes. As part of full planning, we file the Notice of Intended Marriage with the Bermuda Registrar General, track the fourteen-day notice period, and deliver the license to the ceremony. Most of our couples never see the paperwork.

What does full wedding planning cost?

Pricing is built around the size and shape of the wedding. We share package details on our first call so we can quote against your guest count, venue, and the level of involvement you want. We do not publish set fees because no two weddings are the same.

Can you plan a same-sex wedding in Bermuda?

Yes. Same-sex unions are recognised in Bermuda as Domestic Partnerships and we have planned them. We work with officiants and venues that have been doing this proudly for years.

What is the best month to get married in Bermuda?

May through October. June and September are our favourite months: warm water, low rainfall, long daylight, and the island feels alive without being crowded. April and November are quieter and beautiful for smaller weddings, with slightly cooler evenings.

What is the weather like?

Bermuda is subtropical, not tropical. Summer highs are 28 to 30°C, winter lows around 16°C. Hurricane season runs June to November but direct hits are uncommon. We always plan a weather backup, but most weddings happen exactly as imagined outdoors.

Do you do destination weddings or only local Bermuda residents?

Destination weddings are most of our work. Couples come from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and farther. We are used to planning across time zones and managing guest logistics from afar.

Can you work alongside a wedding planner from our home country?

Yes. We often partner with planners from New York, London, or Toronto on the local Bermuda execution. Roles are clearly split before we start so nothing falls through.

Do guests need a passport to come to Bermuda?

Yes, all visitors require a valid passport. United States citizens do not require a visa for a stay under ninety days. United Kingdom and Commonwealth visitors are similarly exempt. Other nationalities should check the Bermuda Department of Immigration site.

Where should our guests stay?

We share a vetted list with every wedding. Common choices include the Loren at Pink Beach, Rosewood Bermuda, Cambridge Beaches, the Hamilton Princess, and a handful of vacation rentals near the venue. We block rooms early at preferred rates.

What kind of weddings do you take on?

From a cliffside ceremony for ten to a four-day weekend for two hundred. Black-tie, beach casual, multicultural, multi-day, intimate. We take on the weddings we know we can do well. We turn down weddings we are not the right team for.

Do you offer day-of coordination only?

Yes, in peak season only. Our event management package picks up the planning a few weeks out and runs the day. It works best for couples who have done most of the planning themselves and want a confident handoff for the wedding week.

What about corporate retreats and weekend programs?

Yes. We run corporate retreats, brand weekends, incentive trips, and milestone celebrations across Bermuda with the same hand we use for weddings. There's a dedicated page for that.
